OVERVIEW

Nurse Simulation is an interactive and hands-on course that immerses candidates in real-life scenarios that they will come across in practice.

The course is run over two days and is a scenario based interactive course. Nurse Simulation includes some very short ‘blast’ talks and recaps on some basic clinical skills but then is 90% immersive. We utilize actors and props to provide ‘real-life’ scenarios that encourage the students to apply their skills, knowledge and develop their confidence.

COURSE SUMMARY

As with most students, being ‘hands on’ with patients can be impacted by where their placements are, how much exposure they are given and how engaging their practice mentors are. Another big factor is nerves, and them having confidence to talk and care for patients. This course allows them not only to care for ‘real people’ in ‘real time’ but to also take lead on their care, as they would as qualified staff, in a safe and nurturing environment.
