Tactical Vehicle Medicine

Course Overview
The Tactical Vehicle Medicine Course is an intensive 2-day programme designed for first responders working in high-threat environments. Tailored for Emergency personnel and private operators such as CP/NGO’s, the course equips participants with the skills to deliver immediate, life-saving medical interventions in and around vehicles.
From responding to high-speed collisions to managing confined space extractions and blast or ambush-related injuries, this course provides immersive, scenario-based training that prepares responders for the realities of operating under pressure.

Learning Outcomes
Delivered as Module 6 of the Civilian Tactical Medicine Programme, this course enables participants to:
  • Perform in-vehicle medical interventions, including casualty management in confined spaces and treatment of blast injuries.
  • Apply haemorrhage control, airway management, and casualty extraction techniques at crash sites, in active threat zones, and other complex environments.
  • Deliver multi-casualty and extended care, including during traffic collisions, active shooter scenarios, and major incidents across varied, high-risk settings.

Course Details
  • Pre-requisites: RTACC or PHEM Level D (or above).
  • Duration: 2 days (mandatory modules completed within 3 years to achieve Civilian Tactical Medicine (CTM) qualification).
  • Certification: Participants receive a Certificate of Completion in Tactical Vehicle Medicine plus module credits towards the Civilian Tactical Medicine Programme.
