Module 1
Anatomy & Physiology

OVERVIEW
Our Anatomy & Physiology Module has been developed as an optional one-day extension to the Civilian Tactical Medicine Programme. It provides learners with an in-depth understanding of human systems, the physiological effects of trauma, and the impacts of medical interventions.
Unlike a standard classroom lecture, this module is designed to scale up or down in complexity to match the knowledge and scope of practice of each cohort—whether introducing fundamental principles to new learners or delivering advanced pathophysiology to experienced practitioners.
Immersive Learning Experience
This module moves beyond rote theory. Participants are guided through the structure and function of major body systems and then challenged to link that knowledge to real-world trauma scenarios. By exploring the signs and symptoms of injury and the body’s physiological responses, learners gain the ability to anticipate complications and understand why interventions succeed or fail.
